Lucas & Spencer

I’ve driven through Sisters Oregon a few times over the years. If your traveling from Portland, you’ll pass by a junction for Black Butte Ranch just before you get into town. I’ve always wanted to turn at at this point during my road trips but never quite made it to the ranch. Next time your passing by, take the turn for Black Butte!

Just south off of highway 20 lies a country and outdoor paradise. Horses check, paddle boarding check, amazing view of mountain tops and volcanoes check! The list goes on for the fun activities you can do on the Black Butte estate and I’m not even mentioning how nice the staff and sleeping arrangements are. The place rocks. Perfect space to bring family and friends together for a wedding celebration!

After a lovely rehearsal dinner set to an amazing sunset, Friday was here and it was time for Spencer and Lucas to tie the knot. And what better way to do this than by entering the ceremony via horse back? This was awesome, and a first for any wedding couple I’ve ever seen. And a little dangerous! These horses were huge, I’m talkin’ Clydesdales here. They definitely made for a majestic and one of a kind entrance. Dismounting the horses proved to be a little tricky, but after a tiny scare, we were ready to exchange vows!

The ceremony taking place on a slow moving river was beautiful. The dinner, dances, and toast following were perfect. And the sun setting behind the water as family danced away was the best… This wedding day was fab from start to finish. Big congratulations to Spencer and Lucas!
