What a fun & beautiful two day event! Friday morning started with a traditional Cambodian wedding ceremony. Thomas led a procession to Tida’s front door to ask permission to marry Tida and be allowed in the house. From there there were clothing changes, ceremonies and feasting! Lots of feasting, yum! On Saturday we had a western ceremony in the beautiful veiled gardens at the Abernethy Center in Oregon City followed by an incredible reception with more than 750 guests at the Legin restaurant in Portland. They had singers from Thailand and Chinese dragon dancers as well as Cambodian dancers. Over all it was a beautiful coming together of families with great food, music and entertainment.
