“Mike was an incredible photographer. He was early to every meeting, the engagement session and most importantly on the wedding day. He was easy to be around, great sense of humor, laid back enough to put everyone at ease and yet proactive and on top of it. He was able to make us feel comfortable during the engagement photo session and gave us great direction. The day of the wedding he was phenomenal. He showed up early to give us some flexibility with the unpredictable weather we were dealing with (showers throughout the day). Matt didn’t even realize he was there until he heard someone say “keep putting that sign up!” while he was putting up a wedding sign directing guests down the road from the vineyard. Without even asking he got shots of Matt putting up those signs and of the vineyard before any of us were even ready! We had given him a long list of photos we wanted, and he literally made a checklist out of it and took every single shot we asked for, plus other shots he knew would be good. He was patient, and quick when we needed him to be, i.e. when we had breaks in the weather. He was always close-by when we decided at the last minute we wanted him to photograph a part of the day (i.e. me putting my veil on with my bridesmaids/mom). Additionally, we had planned a grand exit with sparklers, and someone ended up lighting their sparkler early, which of course resulted in others lighting theirs, which could have been a disaster. But Mike was quick on his feet and was able to adapt and start taking photos as everyone was dancing with the sparklers, and then rally people to make a tunnel for us to walk-through towards the limo. We have gotten SO many compliments from our families, the groomsmen and the bridal party on how awesome he was and how lucky they thought we were to have such an amazing photographer for our big day. We could not have been happier with Mike!! We would 100% recommend him to anyone :)

My name is Dustin Schmidt, my wife Jenny (formerly Rumbaugh) and I contracted with you guys to photograph our wedding on October 13th at the Jenkins Estate. I’m sorry it’s taken me this long to write you but we are absolutely thrilled with our wedding photos!! More than that, we were thrilled with our photographers, the package options, and the price! We met with several photographers and photo companies and were completely floored by how competitive your prices are! Going in to our first meeting with Ben I was very skeptical. I saw pictures around the office and thought “sure.. they’re great but they’ll only show the very best…” But the quality of the final product was certainly on par with the display! I also thought that by the VERY professional look of the office and Ben’s great presentation about the process and technology that your services would be far beyond our price range. I was very pleased to be wrong about that!
I have to dedicate an entire paragraph to Joni, our main photographer. She was absolutely outstanding! I went in to our engagement session quite uneasy about the whole thing but her easy going personality and unending friendliness put me at ease right away! Beyond that the quality of her work was absolutely superb! I have never thought of myself to be photogenic and like many people I am uneasy with having my picture taken but Joni is a true professional who completely erased my uneasiness and took photos that I am proud for people to see! EVERY person who has seen any of our wedding or engagement photos has remarked that we had an excellent photographer!
Our second photographer, Juan, was also excellent! He was taking photos of myself and the groomsmen getting ready and he helped us all with our boutineers and tuxedo technicalities and took excellent photographs as well!

Planning a wedding is a tough task for anyone and when you are planning from over 2,000 miles away, it doesn’t make it any easier. But after visiting Vista Hills Vineyard, our hearts were set: we knew we had to have an outdoor wedding and reception in that amazing setting. It could not have come together without the help of Powers Oregon and their staff. Not only did they answer question after question, and when you are long distance planning, there are a lot of questions, they even visited the property during the construction of the new patio so we could see photos of the progress. The entire event could not have gone more smoothly and we could not have been more pleased. We wished the party could have gone on late into the night because we all had such a blast. Our friends and family have not been able to stop talking about how beautiful the scenery was and how much they enjoyed themselves. I would recommend Vista Hills and Powers to any bride & groom looking for the perfect, picturesque wedding.

Jeremy and I just wanted to take a minute to extend our gratitude toward Marc, our photographer, as well as your company as a whole. We were extremely impressed with the level of professionalism and caring that was portrayed throughout our whole experience. From the very beginning, we felt as though you guys actually cared about what we really needed and wanted and put forth exceptional effort to make sure things were exactly as they needed to be.
I have to admit, in the beginning I wasn’t sure what to expect because our photographer was chosen for us. When you are planning a wedding you feel like you have to be the only one making decisions about your vendors and it’s really tough to put that choice into someone else’s hands. It turned out to be one of the most rewarding and gratifying experiences we had. Looking back on our engagement session and wedding day, we realize that Marc was a perfect match for us. Not only on a professional level, but a personal level as well. He always listened to what we had in mind, but he also gave us great feedback as if he were a friend looking out for us. He always worked exceptionally hard, and never seemed to miss an important moment. Marc has an extraordinary eye for photography and his skill level is unreservedly impressive. He truly kept us going towards the end when were exhausted and didn’t want to do anything but take our limo to the hotel and sleep!! J He knew what pictures we needed, and worked quickly and efficiently to make them happen. He had a great balance of getting photos with us, as well as allowing us enough time to sit back and enjoy our day. Marc was so much fun to work with! We have had so many compliments about him from guests at our wedding. We continually heard from the bridal party, “Did you see your photographer standing up on that table in the bridal room to get that perfect shot? Wow, that is so cool! What a great guy!!” And we completely agree. Marc is an amazing asset to Powers Photography Studio and I will be passing his name along to anyone I can. We appreciate the opportunity to work so closely with him and hope to do so again in the future.

We had the pleasure of having Marc Rotse as our wedding photographer and just wanted to take a minute to let you know how much we enjoyed working with him. From the start, he was easy to contact and helpful answering all our questions as we got organized. He was very laid back and flexible which made meeting with him and working with him the day of very easy.
Also, he was very nice and friendly. Several of our guests even made comments about how polite he was. He easily organized and herded the family along through the pictures keeping us on time without seeming demanding or abrupt. He got along well with everyone. We very much enjoyed working with him and would be happy to work with him again in the future.

Thank you. Yes they did an excellent job and hustled all night. Laurel even wiped off mud from one of the bridesmaids shoes on her pants so it didn’t ruin the picture!
