I knew that Catherine was close to full term when we were scheduling her Maternity session, but when the day of her session finally came – she was only SIX days from her due date! Catherine was such a trooper though and we had such a great time traversing all of Cathedral Park for some lovely photos of her, her husband and her gorgeously round belly! Catherine had an amazing mandala henna’ed onto her belly at Blossoming Lotus Henna before the session – a symbol of joy and transformation, and the process typically includes a blessing to ward off evil spirits, and it was beautiful to photograph! We of course used all of the beautiful backdrops that the park has to offer as well… but before wrapping our session, we found a gentleman making huge bubbles in the park and we asked if he would mind making a few for some photos with us. He was tickled to participate, and they turned out to be some of my favorites! He even let Zach make a few bubbles of his own! I know I’ll be seeing Catherine and Zach again soon when their little bundle of joy arrives!
