Mandy & Zach

Rain Schmain. NOTHING was going to dampen our spirits on Mandy and Zach’s wedding day. So many smiles, laughs and tears, mostly of joy, filled the soggy day. When two people truly love each other, little things like the weather don’t matter. We DID get a nice break in the rain to head out and snag some fun portraits around the property. I’m honored to have been a part of such an awesome day in their lives.

From the couple:

“At first, we were apprehensive to sign up with Powers, not knowing who our photographer would be. Powers puts their clients to work with questionnaires, surveys, etc. While time consuming, we do see the benefit as it matched us with an incredible photographer. We both think highly of the process to determine exactly which photographer best matches our style. You can see Powers has a contemporary business model, and it seems to be working! In the end, we wanted top notch photos, and while we have only seen a fraction of all our photos at the time of this writing, we are very confident that our expectations of an expensive photography company will be met!!
WOW! Our photographer has character, skill, and mastery of photography. We were very impressed with his dedication during our engagement shoot; helping to plan three locations for pictures. He maintained constant communication throughout the whole process, and had excellent tactful suggestions as we planned the wedding. The day of, he made the process easy, especially for Mandy. We had monsoon-type rain, a maid-of-honor meltdown and you never would’ve known it by talking with or working with Sheldon that day. The 2nd photographer, whose name eludes us at this time, was very flexible and also very easy to work with as she shot the groomsmen getting ready. We didn’t do first look, so we had to cram in all of the couple photos after the ceremony. We had threatening clouds and a time limit. Our photographer had already cleared out an area by the Ivy wall at Edgefield after we had completed the ceremony. During this time, he and the 2nd shooter worked seamlessly with her calling out the names of those needed to be in the picture, and immediately organizing us in just the right way and snapping the photo. They were VERY efficient, as the sky seemed to be filled with raindrops, but no rain. Our photographer used his keen eye to stop us in our tracks and take a picture of a puddle, with our reflection in it! We were highly impressed that, even as we were somewhat rushed to get all the photos taken that we wanted, we still felt he was taking the time to be creative with his camera. We really couldn’t have been happier. He even signed our guestbook, what a nice surprise! :)”
