Kristina & Tai

Kristina and Tai’s wedding day started bright and early – Kristina was up at 4am for hair and makeup! The morning started with a formal tea ceremony and gift exchange at Kristina’s parents’ home, followed by a second tea ceremony at Tai’s parents’ home. The ceremony itself was a Catholic mass at Our Lady of Lavang Parish in NE Portland. Then bridal party portraits at the Eastbank Esplanade (with amazing light!) and grand reception at a packed HK Cafe.

It was a long day steeped in tradition and paying respect. That said, it was so wonderful to see both Kristina and Tai smiling virtually the entire 13 hours I was with them. They are a wonderful couple and it was so much fun capturing their interactions with friends and family. As per tradition, they went to each and every table of the packed reception venue. Some tables offered toasts, others made them play games that, well, we can’t quite show on the blog, haha.

I’ve seen many wedding couples be tuckered out after just an afternoon and early evening of festivities. Kristina and Tai were still tearing up the dance floor after 15 hours! That’s straight up awesome and downright inspirational.

It was an honor and delight to be there for the both of you for the entire time. Congratulations!
