Dina & Will { The Foundry and Oswego Pointe }

Me: I’m Mike, what’s your name? DJ: House Me: House?! DJ: Yeah…House Me: I can dig that. Even though that little exchange happened right before the reception, it was kind of a metaphor for the whole day. Now, many of you are asking how that would symbolize a wedding day and quite frankly, although I’m going to attempt it, I don’t know how really. It was just a sense of cool and confidence that washed over me when I introduced myself to House and Dina and Will shared that same kind of cool confidence. Even though it was raining, Dina was so upbeat and happy like a bride should be on their wedding day. Taking some photos of the guys getting ready, there was laughter and good old fashioned soul music being sung and listened to simultaneously. The vibe was awesome…just awesome. After setting up Will for the 1st look…I witnessed a happy, joyful bride walking, almost skipping to see her future husband. I can still see the look on her face. It was a beautiful moment. The ceremony was filled with laughter and almost a tear from Will…I saw it coming but he kept it together :). Of course after all the ”I Do’s”, it was time for the party and I was looking forward to this part all day. Will and his crew looked they knew how to have a good time and after my little exchange with House, it was eminent. And so it went on, the celebration of two people who loved each other and the friends and family that loved them. To paraphrase Lundy, one of the groomsmen, ”Friendship is very important, so important that if your friend needs you, you will do whatever it takes to be there by his side”. After all the cake has been eaten and the sparklers have burned out all you have are the friends and family that helped you celebrate….and the photos of course. Congratulations to Will and Dina! P.S., Zapp and Roger need to make it into more receptions, House has made me a believer.
