Chantelle & Brian

Chantelle and Brian’s wedding was epic. That’s the only way I can describe it. Was it worth driving 240 miles and 4 hours in a day to Jasper, OR and back? My answer is a resounding yes! Chantelle and Brian are such a lovely, genuine couple, and they looked beautiful together on their wedding day.

Okay, let me elaborate on the epicness. Portrait locations included a ceremony site at the river’s edge, a sunflower field, golden wheat field, shots atop a bluff overlooking the valley at sunset… and shots in a river. Seriously, these two waded out through the shallows into the river to stand atop that rock embankment. They are rock stars. The light was so gentle throughout the day, Chantelle was simply radiant.

And the details, the details of the day, with the flowers and collected antiques — it looked like it was straight out of Pinterest in the absolute best of ways. Old suitcases, a vintage gumball machine by the lemonade… and old rusted motor bike with a just married sign.

And at the end of the night, their getaway vehicle? A giant tractor that hoisted them up high into the air. Yes, that was a first for me. After their tractor exit it was a drive up to Portland for them for an early flight to Maui the next morning. What a day, what a beautiful, heartfelt and fun loving day.

From the couple:

“Our experience with Powers has been very professional and pleasant from our first contact with them and every communication in between. They sent me reminders leading up to to the wedding day as well as after to let me know what I was supposed to be doing. If I had any questions they were quick to respond. The quality of our photos has exceeded our expectations and we absolutely loved our photographer. I felt like I was working with people who knew what they were doing every step of the way. Thank-you!
Our photographer was absolutely amazing! He was very kind and free to offer his opinion without being pushy. It was obvious he was very experienced and was able to hold his own and keep things moving so we were on schedule on the wedding day. We had a bunch of ideas for scenic pictures that we wanted and he ran all over with us in order to get as many shots as possible. He even stayed late so that he could get some great exit shots (and he had a long drive home afterward). We loved working with him and would recommend him to anyone!”
