Amanda and Jonathan are one of my favorite couples from this year. From our first meeting, to meeting up for a walk through of SW Bible Church, through their incredible wedding day, these two were the sweetest, most down-to-earth individuals. After meeting their wonderful families, the support and love they are surrounded by, I can see why they are so kindhearted.
The day started bright an early with Amanda and the girls getting ready at her parents’ home, which was only a few minutes drive from the church. There’s something very special about getting prep shots in a family home, because they are surrounded by mementos from their childhood, photos on the wall etc. So when Amanda’s parents entered the room to see her standing in her wedding dress in their home, on her wedding day, it drives home that emotional note.
The ceremony was held at SW Bible Church, with photos taking place on the surrounding grounds. We had some great green space to work with, and as luck would have it we had a large tree that had burst into rich, yellow fall colors. It provided the perfect backdrop for portraits, we even caught a stretch of beautiful cloud cover, which provided gorgeous soft light for a few last shots before we ducked inside before the ceremony.
The reception was at the Crowne Plaza in their giant Belmont Ballroom. Despite being a massive reception, Amanda and Jonathan made it a point to stop by and say hello to every single table, seeing them take that time to show their appreciation was inspiring. After a quick dress change into a traditional red Chinese cheongsam dress, Amanda and Jonathan departed amidst a whimsical bubble send off.
It was a beautiful, heartwarming day. Amanda and Jonathan, congratulations, I am so happy for you both!
