Throughout their engagement shoot, and at many times during their wedding day, Susie and Sean were total, hilarious goofballs. Their banter is so great to see. Their humor is perfectly in tune, like it’s their own private language; but looking past the jokes and laughs, one will find something truly breathtaking – love, of course, but a love built on a bedrock of complete commitment and adoration of one another. This was plainly displayed as they read the wedding vows each had written during the ceremony. Susie’s vows were heartfelt, and Sean’s vows were so sincere it was shattering. Sean had spent months writing them, and the eloquence of his words brought everyone to tears.
Timberline Lodge is an amazing setting for a wedding, and portraits in the snow make for a truly striking scene. I’m so happy the weather cooperated for these two and we were able to get so many fun shots while it was still light out. The snow cat ride to and from the Silcox Hut is always fun, and a true Pacific Northwest experience for many visiting family members. The day was intimate, and the smaller setting of the Silcox Hut provided the perfect, cozy feel for a lovely dinner with close friends and family.
Congratulations once again Susie and Sean, it was a joy being there to help capture your wedding day!
