Ever since flying out to New York to do Jen and Alex’s engagement shoot in the spectacular Central Park, I couldn’t wait to meet up with them again at Skamania Lodge for their PNW Destination Wedding. The weather was absolutely perfect and the views of the Columbia Gorge were stunning. The PB&J unity ceremony was a first for me, and I loved how they took something small and personal and turned it into a public declaration of commitment. Another stand out moment was the best man’s speech as he took us all on a walk down memory lane of his and Alex’s friendship, props and all. I don’t know what was more impressive, the class notes from Alex he had kept from high school, or the Aerosmith t-shirt he had purchased almost 20 years ago at the Nine Lives Tour they attended together, keeping the shirt a secret to give to Alex on this day. With such loving and caring friends as these, Jen and Alex are blessed with an amazing support network. Spending just a few moments with these two, and you know it’s a love meant to last. Congratulations Jen & Alex!
