Months ago we rocked a great engagement shoot with Travis and Jessica. We had a fun afternoon of taken’ photos all over Portland, so I was definitely excited to celebrate a wedding day with these two. Our plan to meet up with the boys at the Nines turned into a very special location to start our day. The Nines is always a great spot for taking pictures during any occasion. Little did we know that the time we planned to start would be right in the middle of the Women’s March. Thousands of people had descended on downtown to march peacefully in the streets of Portland, our hotel meet up spot was right in the middle of it. As a photographer, I was overwhelmed by the energy emitting from the demonstration. So many signs, messages, and people to photograph. After spending a few minutes with the men, women, and children participating in the march, it was time to start celebrating with my couple and their guests. Let’s go to a wedding and get some people married y’all!
The rain held out just enough for us to capture pictures in the great outdoors. Over the course of the wedding day, we took advantage of the rad view Departure has to offer, along with using locations in front Schnitzer Concert Hall and West End Ballroom. Party people were ready to dance once we finished our pictures, ceremony and dinner… the dance floor was packed the entire reception! So happy I was able to celebrate with Travis, Jessica, and take pictures with this group. It was a special day on so many levels! Congratulations!!
