When were you founded?
Growing up with four older sisters and a mother who were all naturals with make-up & hair, I couldn’t help but learn the “ins and outs” of all things beauty. As you’ve probably heard several make-up/hair artists say: I was always the friend who did my girlfriends make-up & hair for dances, etc. However, I didn’t really think of it as an option for a career until after I went away to college hoping to study communications. After a while, I just knew that I wasn’t pursuing something I really wanted to do. So, I stopped school to try & figure out what WAS the right fit. One day, I was sitting in my stylist’s chair, getting my hair done and it hit me. I could tell how much she loved her job, plus she was incredibly successful. I realized that I actually COULD do this as a career, and that it was a perfect fit for me! :)
What sets you apart from other vendors in your category?
Beyond excellence in Hair & Makeup design, we tend to the pampered client. We know to anticipate and tackle every imaginable beauty “crisis”: from developing a meticulous hair and makeup schedule, to helping you get out the door on time, to dealing with emergency dress repairs, to making sure your photo sessions look good and go off smoothly. We focus on the utmost customer satisfaction so that our clients to not only love the way they look but feel the most beautiful they ever have!
Why did you get into weddings?
I began specializing in weddings 8 years ago when several of my clients from the salon were getting married that summer. I realized I really loved working with brides, and wanted to do it more! I LOVE weddings, and it is such an honor to be part of a brides special day!
What is your favorite part about weddings?
Oh gosh, it’s SO hard to pick just one favorite!! I guess I would say that my favorite part of my job is the long lasting & meaningful relationships that I get to develop with my brides. I have several of my brides who have gotten married years ago that still come to me for cuts & color. It is so cool to be there for one of the most special days of their lives- then continue to grow that relationship over time. I am so happy that I don’t just do their make-up & hair on their wedding day, and then never see them again. I get to watch their families grow, and their lives develop. It’s awesome!

“I can’t describe how wonderful having Bri apart of my wedding was. Prior, during and after the wedding Bri went above and beyond. She always made me feel reassured and responded to any request without any time lapse or second thought. I knew Bri was talented but when I looked in the mirror after my hair and make-up was finished I never thought I would ever look so pretty. I know this sounds vain but she did an amazing job. Bri ended up doing 5 bridesmaids hair and 3 make-ups. The entire time she was so relaxed (which made us feel calm) and had fun with us too.

What is your average pricing (2013-2014)?
Bride – Hair & Makeup ~ $350 (Trial run: $150 Day of: $200)
Bride Makeup only ~ $250 (Trial run: $100. Day of: $150)
Bride Hair only ~ $185 (Trial run: $85 Day of: $100)
Bride’s services always include:
*Brow shaping & facial waxing the week prior to wedding
*False Eye Lashes (if needed/desired)
*Professional digital photos
Bridal Party Services:
Hair (Bridesmaids, Moms, etc.) ~ $75.00
Makeup (Bridesmaids, Moms, etc.) ~ $85.00
* All make-ups include false eyelashes and a container of touch up gloss/lipstick
Special Occasion (boudoir, engagement etc.) (Done at my location in Sherwood):
Makeup ~ $100
Hair & Makeup ~ $150

Do you travel outside of PDX for weddings? If so how far and is there a fee?
Yes, we do travel outside of PDX for weddings. The fee is $40 per hour outside the Portland metro area. We have traveled all over Oregon & Washington- from the coast, up to Seattle, all the way down to the Medford/Ashland Area. Interested in having us travel somewhere outside of Oregon/Washington???
