Patrick & Shayna

Adrianna Ballroom is a awesome wedding venue located in the heart of downtown Portland. I love taking photos here and especially love it when the weather cooperates. Director’s Park is a beautiful urban space just across the street from the ballroom. When I initially met with Shayna, we didn’t really make any plans to use this area as we both assumed taking photos inside would be best to avoid the elements. The wedding celebration came and so did a perfect November day! After capturing a magical first look indoors on the ballroom staircase, we took the whole bridal party outside and had a wonderful pre-wed session using the park and surrounding urban spots. Once most we completed most of our formal photos, it was time to head back to the venue and officially tie the knot. The best thing about doing larger photo sessions before the ceremony is you get to jump right into party mode almost as soon as the vows are exchanged. I had a blast working with this group and especially loved taking pictures with Shayna and Patrick. Having known each other since the 11th grade, you could feel the special bond that these two had. High school sweethearts getting married is the coolest! Congratulations to the Nowells!
