I met up with Molly & Alex in Manzanita for an engagement shoot on the beach. We started out with some good food, refreshing drinks, and great conversation.
When it was finally time to dive into photos, I couldn’t believe what a great evening it was on the Oregon Coast. One of those days you only get a few times a year, sunny AND warm.
After a frolic through the sand and surf we went a little north up 101 to Short Sands for a hike out to a cliff view. Once there though, we realized that the hike to the cliff in mind was just a little further than I had originally thought… ok, a lot further, and didn’t think we would make sunset in time. Never fear though, as I’m always on the look out for new great spots, I suggested we head back a couple miles on the scenic highway to a spot I noticed on our original drive.
My hunch paid off and we were treated to a beautiful, and short, hike through the coastal forest that opened up to a 200 foot cliff peering over the glowing Pacific, just in time for a spectacular sunset. A perfect end to a perfect photo shoot. Can’t wait for the wedding next year!
