SAM AND MINDY ARE MARRIED!!!!!! Can you tell how excited I am? ☺ As you may know from the earlier post about their engagement session, Sam is one of our very own Powers photographers. I couldn’t help but laugh when, near the end of the day, Sam told me how much respect he had now for people whose weddings he photographs. He couldn’t believe how crazy the day can be and how fast it can pass you by. That’s right, Sam! ☺

But enough about that, Let me tell you about the INCREDIBLE things from this momentous day. Mindy’s mom is Supermom. Yep. She MADE Mindy’s wedding dress. MADE IT with her own two hands. Isn’t that just unreal? Seeing your daughter become a married woman is one thing, but to see her get married in your very own creation – I can’t even imagine how special that must have been for her.

Sam & Mindy got married at Lucy’s Garden in Ridgefield, WA. It was quite the perfect venue match for them. It was gorgeous and filled with color, it was intimate and quiet and it had a very large dance floor! These two just wouldn’t do without extensive dance space.

They not only had one grand exit on their wedding day but TWO! After departing from Lucy’s Garden, they went down to Portland for Sunday Swing where they were welcomed by what seemed like hundreds of people, many of which were fellow swing dancer friends of Mindy and Sam’s. They danced their shoes off there, with smiles never leaving their faces. It was an overwhelming celebration!

This day was unbeatable. Sam and Mindy, you two are AMAZING and I feel inspired to come dance with you now. ☺
