“The Princess Bride” is Marcia and Fletcher’s all time favorite movie. Why yes, the above quote was used to open their ceremony after Marcia walked down the aisle to Buttercup’s iconic acoustic guitar riff. Fletcher processed down the aisle to the theme from Halo: Combat Evolved. These two are absolutely delightful. Seeing them together makes my heart sing. They are also big Star Wars fans. After their first kiss, they recessed back down the aisle to “Yub Nub” … and yes, I know “Yub Nub” – it’s the ewok celebration music at the end of “Return of the Jedi” — it was stuck in my head for the rest of the weekend. Marcia and Fletcher had a beautiful wedding day at Ainsworth House in Oregon City. It’s such a quaint and whimsical property. The ceremony area was centered in front of a massive tree, it was beautiful. I was so happy to be the Powers photographer they were matched up with. At the end of the night, after their sparkler exit, and before their getaway car pulled away, I managed to drop one last Princess Bride quote: “Have fun storming the castle!” – to which they both cheered in response. A perfect cap off to a magical wedding!
