When Sarah informed me that she was thinking we could do some of her engagement session at the Portland Art Museum I was all in. For a photographer, it’s always good to see other mediums of art to keep that desire burning and shooting in a space like that would be intimidating and exciting at the same time. We started the shoot in the Pearl District and took advantage of the wonderful weather we’ve been experiencing. Sarah was wearing some of her grandmother’s ear rings. I love things that are passed down and usually see a lot of that for weddings but Sarah bringing that for her engagement session shows her affinity towards her grandmother. They were up for anything which is always good news for me. It was time to move to the Portland Art Museum and to take a photo in front of their favorite painting. That in itself was awesome. You could tell that they both had a special place in their hearts for the arts and I totally appreciated that. After moving around, attempting to make our own type of art we called it a day. I can’t wait for their wedding next year!
