Lilly and Dan are so much fun, and they had an absolutely beautiful wedding day. One that celebrated not only their union as a couple, but a joining of families and a heartwarming bridge between cultures.
The day started with a traditional Vietnamese tea ceremony at Lilly’s parent’s home in Salem. Dan and his family presented ceremonial gifts of food, and well wishes. Lilly’s family accepted Dan and his family into their home, and Lilly, dressed in a traditional red gown, was revealed to her new husband. For the tea ceremony itself, the couple poured and served tea to each of their family members, to both honor them and show their respect. After the tea ceremony, everyone took a break for lunch, then met up in the mid afternoon for a western style wedding at Abernethy Center.
Wow Lilly and Dan are so much fun. Their bridal party was great. So much energy, and SO many goofy faces. I had an absolute blast helping take all of their photos. It makes me so happy that these two have found one another. I can tell, they are true blue individuals who are completely at ease with one another.
