Sometimes, the powers of the universe place you with the perfect match. Whether it’s with a mate, with a friend or in this case, with clients. Even though Hans and Jen lived in Florida and we’ve only communicated over phone, a failed Skype session and email, there was something there. Something that told me that these cats were of the cool variety and that their special day was going to be fun and beautiful and heart felt. As the story goes, Hans’ father Darv, gave some sage advice to Hans. I quote, “You are a Straub…failure is not an option”. They did the most opposite thing of fail that there ever was opposite of. (I don’t know if that made sense…but I’m going with it) Here are the steps you must take to not fail. One, choose an epic venue for your epic wedding. They chose the historic Timberline Lodge which is so unbelievably beautiful during the summer it almost makes me forget it’s grandeur in the winter. Two, decide to take some photos at Trillium Lake in the morning. It was so beautiful on the lake that morning it was almost unbelievable. Almost like the background was a photo and not real, it looked that good. Three, invite the coolest, closest friends you have around to help you celebrate your nuptials. Straubapalooza was such a smashing success and I’m happy I got to be a part of it. Congrats Hans and Jen!!
