Had a wonderful time making a trip out to Cannon Beach to spend an evening taking engagement photos for Daniella and David. They will be getting married in New York next year, but wanted their engagement photos to reflect Daniella’s roots in Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. We’d originally talked about shooting up on Mt. Hood, or in The Gorge, but eventually agreed on the coast. Given their tight travel schedule, it was pretty much all or nothing for the day of their shoot. I am SO happy we went with Cannon Beach. The weather was perfect, there was hardly any wind off the water, and look at the sunset colors we got! In the brief time we spent together, it was heartwarming to see the connection between Daniella and David. They both care for and deeply respect one another. Also on hand at the coast were Daniella’s parents and twin sister – who was a huge help in holding my light for those last few sunset shots, and for being on the lookout for incoming sets of waves! This shoot was so much fun, I’m so happy and grateful to have met these two. To Daniella and David – wishing you nothing but the best for your upcoming wedding!
