Every wedding day has stories to recount later. The first dance, toasts & how beautiful everything was and so on. For me the best story from Coco & Zach’s wedding starts with some stress. Zach is wearing a bow tie for the day and while getting ready alone realizes… oh no… I don’t know how to tie a bow tie! Frantic he’s watching videos, texting everyone he knows and even asking random people on the street as he’s frantically trying to get to his first look moment with Coco. Finally he decided, well, I’ll go casual. A bit bummed but a trooper we go through their sweet first look, some tears and start portraits on the waterfront. We decide, hey, lets go down onto the doc for some photos. There were a couple of girls hanging out just enjoying the sun on the river and Zach decides to give it one last try & asks, do either of you know how to tie a bow tie? and one says ya, totally! I’ve see a lot of happy faces in my time as a photographer but the look on Zach’s face as he was being rescued by this stranger is so genuine, he was beside himself! What I like best about this wedding day story is that when you let go, stop worrying and realize the best part of the day is being with the one you love then things will fall into place for you and all will be good.
