Chris and Leah rock. We had an awesome engagement session earlier in the year. Since we had such a good time on the pre-wedding shoot, I was really looking forward to hooking back up with these two for their big celebration. And we also had a fun wedding plan to capture some unique day of photos which had me excited. Not long before the official wedding event was set to take place, Leah sent me an e-mail with her idea to take pedicabs to a dive bar during cocktail hour. She was wondering if this sounded like a good plan. I easily thought this was one of the best ideas goin’ for a wedding day and completely encouraged us to go for it. Well we went for it and had a great time during our hour long after ceremony ride, almost felt like rock stars doing it! People yelled congratulations and cars continuously honked in our direction as we cruised around town. Kell’s ended up being our dive bar of choice and was the perfect spot. The head bartender on duty welcomed us in with open arms and gladly let me take photos as she served up my newlyweds their first round of drinks for the night. After catching a drink and capturing some rad pics in and around downtown, it was time to head back and dance with the party people. We timed our little adventure perfect and made to the West End Ballroom just in time to start eating and dancing. Thanks to Leah and Chris for planning such a cool day, that’s what I call a wedding party! Maybe we started a new tradition for what newlyweds will want to do during happy hour?
