Destinations weddings are often my favorite, and Chad & Phyllis’s wedding was no exception. Barefoot on the beach… It was absolutely ideal… small, intimate, full of love and wonderful people, sand, sunshine, pina coladas, riviera mayas, and ocean breezes. These two are, as best man Cory acknowledged, very clearly soul mates. Their love is beautiful and I was honored to witness it. We had a beautiful sunny smooth wedding day and, although the weather was a bit stormy for the TTD the next day, the skies opened up and we had a blast! I can’t wait for their reception back in Estacada, Oregon!
Some couples you wish would get married over and over again so that you could shoot their wedding every day. Chad and Phyllis were that couple. Not only were they amazing, but their entire family, too. Chad & Phyllis were married in Mexico. I spent two full days with them there for their wedding day and a trash the dress. Then I had the pleasure of shooting their reception back in Oregon. I had an amazing time getting to know them and their family… oh, and ’Ernie’ too. I loved every minute of it. I loved seeing men crying, couples jumping into pools entirely clothed, and M&M’s made special with pictures of the couple, their famous quotes. This group was simply fun. It was very apparent that this wedding was all about sharing love and memories.I already know their wedding will stand out as one of my all-time favorites. Congratulations you two!
