I love taking pictures with couples in downtown Portland. Kayla and Brandon’s wedding event centered around Kells Irish Pub, which is right in the middle of all the action. Needless to say, I was excited to be a part of this celebration! We started the day with pictures of both bridal parties getting ready at Embassy Suites. After we held our first look in the Embassy lobby, it was time to trek on over to Kells and meet up with arriving friends and family. We planned on hitting a few urban spots along the way and the photo plan went off without a hitch! If you would have payed attention to the weatherman early in the week, doing any wedding type stuff outdoors this weekend wasn’t happening. As we made our way to the pub, the sun was out and you could actually see some blue skies. After enduring a record breaking October for rain here in Portland, this was a pleasant surprise which the whole group enjoyed! With pre-ceremony photos wrapped up, it was time for Kayla and Brandon to tie the knot! The second floor of Kells is an awesome venue for intimate parties. The ceremony flowed flawlessly into dinner and the reception. And once this crowd ate, they were ready to dance. The photo guy usually leaves the scene a little early before the true party people come out and get their groove on. As I made my exit away from this group the dance floor was packed, this party was just getting started! Big congrats to the Quinns for two things … thumbs way up for throwing an awesome wedding gathering! And your cake topper was the best topper I’ve seen in years, Macho Man Randy Savage and Miss Elizabeth for the win!!
