Allie and Greg

It was an absolute joy to meet up with Allie and Greg on their farm property for their engagement shoot. Together, they own and operate a commercial marijuana farm. I’d never been to such a site, or in grow houses. It was a fascinating glimpse into a truly budding industry in Oregon. From our first meeting, it’s clear Greg pours his heart and soul into the
business, and it really shows. Aside from the grow houses, their property is absolutely stunning; it sits upon 20 acres or so, there’s a hillside, woods, wildflowers, an adorable main house, and even a large pond filled with koi (one is named Falkor from the character in The Neverending Story!). Greg explained that the pond is fed by a natural spring – and this fresh spring water is what is used to help grow the plants. All in all it looks like Allie and Greg enjoy a beautiful and ideal country life — but still close enough to things that Greg can grab food from Five Guys Burgers.

For the shoot, we had beautiful summer golden hour light, it was awesome. Allie and Greg are super sweet together. It really was special being able to capture great looking images of them together at their beautiful home. Also, their dog Winston was never far away and they managed to pull him in for a few photos. Such a fun experience. Very much looking forward to their wedding next year!
