Katie & Jared

When I was a kid I looked up to a person. It wasn’t an athlete or an actor or a teacher. No…..it was a….Fraggle. Yes, growing up I wanted to be Uncle Traveling Matt from Fraggle Rock. I don’t know why. I looked forward to his letters just like Gobo and Wembley did. There was something alluring to going to new places and experiencing new things. I could only imagine my teachers side eye when I turned in my assignment of “When I grow up, I want to be …….”. with “Fraggle” in the blank space. That being said…I always felt that it was kind of sad that Uncle Traveling Matt didn’t have an Aunt Traveling Pat to discover with. Seems lonely to not have someone there when you discover new things. In this round about, weird way is how I get to Katie and Jared’s wedding. These guys…so laid back, interested in celebrating with their friends and family as well as each other. Venue was beautiful as was Katie’s dress. I think the truest thing that came through was their fortunate discovery of a partner to discover the world with. It came through in their ceremony and later on when we were taking photos of the beautiful sunset. Jared was missing his Aunt Traveling Pat and Katie was missing her Uncle Traveling Matt. I’m glad they found each other because an awesome adventure duo is about to take on the world. World….you’re on notice. Congrats Katie and Jared…I know your passports and your hearts will stay full.
