Maria and Jeolida had a full day of great events planned for their wedding party. We started at a family residence for a traditional tea ceremony. Gifts were brought from the groom’s family upon entering the house as the ceremony began. Both the bride and groom’s families were introduced and appreciation was shown for everyone who could make it to Maria and Jeolida’s celebration. Tea was served, flowers were presented to bridal party members, and songs were sung to honor the past. This was a beautiful way to start off the day!
After family and friends enjoyed an afternoon brunch, it was time for everyone to head over to St. Mary’s for the church service and wedding ceremony. St. Mary’s is a gorgeous church located in downtown Portland. The church and grounds offer up perfect backdrops for family and bridal party photos. Thanks to a fun bridal party group, we were able to take some great shots before the wedding. And once the wedding began, we kept on capturing great images as smiles were everywhere!
Congratulations to Maria and Jeolida on an epic wedding day! I’ll stop my blog here as sometimes I believe what happens at wedding receptions, stays at wedding receptions… These folks know how to party! That was fun!!
